POP Montreal Music Festival announces 2018 lineup with Zola Jesus, US Girls and SOPHIE
The Montreal International Pop Music Festival is just around the corner, and today the festival organizers announced the full official lineup for its 2018 edition. The festival spans five days and will feature music, art , conferences, cinema and creativity of all kinds. It will start on September 26 and run until September 30.
Some of the musical groups slated to perform at this year’s POP include CupcakKe, Zola Jesus, Alanis Obomsawin, Ninos du Brasil, Odonis Odonis, Devon Welsh (Majical Cloudz), Quiet River by Arcade Fire member Richard Reed Parry, and Elle Barbara’s the confidante of the breast, among others. They will join previously reported lineup, which included SOPHIE, Wanda Jackson, Bill Callahan (fka Smog), Venetian Snares X Daniel Lanois, Wolf Parade, Kilo Kish, Homeshake and US Girls. According to a Twitter post, 35% of the artists selected to perform at this year’s event were selected through an open submission process.
