New Home Alone movie set in Montreal just released its trailer (VIDEO)


While the original film will forever be a holiday classic, the trailer for the Restarting Home Alone, title Home Sweet Home Alone, is finally out and we couldn’t be more excited as it was shot in Montreal.

During the shooting of the new film, from February to April 2020, several scenes were shot in Longueuil, on the south shore of Montreal. The team visited the St. Mark’s Park Christmas Market, called the traditional Winnetka Christmas Fair in the film, as well as the 1957 Café Terrasse, renamed The Dark Roast Café.

A preview shared on YouTube on October 12 shows the reboot has a similar plot to the original film: a family goes on holiday for the holiday season and forgets one of the kids, a little boy named Max this time. .

Much like the original, the boy tries to protect his house from criminals with makeshift traps.

This new adaptation appears to be filled with laughs and action, along with a brand new cast that includes actors and actresses Ellie Kamper, Rob Delaney, Timothy Simons, Archie Yates, Aisling Bea, Kenan Thompson, Pete Holmes and Ally Maki.

The highly anticipated movie will be released on November 12, 2021 on the Disney + streaming platform and you can already add it to your Christmas movie list to watch this year.
